What are Individualized Daily Reading Libraries. Individualized Daily Reading Libraries are made up of sixteen book sets (nonfiction, fiction, and easy, on-level, and challenging) for a total of books at each grade level from kindergarten to sixth grade. Individualized Daily Reading (IDR) is a structure for classroom independent reading in which students read books at their “just-right” reading levels each day.

The teacher actively participates in the IDR period by conferring with individual students to monitor and support their reading comprehension.
